KAISER (FIN)was founded in 2013 by Otu and Riku, after meeting in a music forum online. During their first jam session together, they realised that they were musical twins and had a great musical synergy. After a little more jamming they added Pex on bass, one of Riku’s childhood friends. Building riffs and writing great songs, they recorded their first self titled Kaiser EP in 2014, that caught some attention abroad as well as at home.After the brief hiatus following the release of the Kaiser EP, they decided to take it up a notch, and recorded their debut album with Finnish mastermind producer Hiili Hiilesmaa who is known for his work with HIM. German Oak Island Records the sub label of Kozmik Artefacts Records signed the band and the debut “1st Sound” was released in 2018 and gained a lot of attention, staying in the Doom charts for 3 months, Vegas Rock Revolution ranked it 3rd out of the Top 50 albums of 2018, Inferno (Finland’s biggest circulating metal magazine) ranked it 9th of the Best Albums of 2018, as well as many music blogs praising the album, and garnering a lot of international attention.Kaiser has toured in 2018 on a Finnish tour with TONER LOW, in Estonia supporting ORANGE GOBLIN, on the west coast of USA in 2019 (California, Nevada, Arizona) supporting RED FANG,NEBULA, JOHN GARCIA AND THE BAND OF GOLD, HOUSE OF BROKEN PROMISES (ex Unida) .2019 Tuska Festival in Helsinki with Slayer, Opeth.They are working on a new EP at the moment, and will be touring to support the new release in 2020
